Chile the country of the region with more Obesity in Women

New study “Food and Nutrition Security of Latin America 2017” by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), reflect that Chile is leading the rate of obesity in women with 32, 8% and, in the case of men is the second country after Argentina with a percentage of 24.8%.

Obesity rates in 24 countries in the region reach 20% of the population, with adults over 28 years of age between 1980 and 2014. Countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago and Chile are the which have the largest obese population, while the lowest rates are found in Haiti, Bolivia, Guatemala and Honduras, among others, with figures below 20%.
