Evidence-based policy

Evidence-Based Policy is a practice that seeks decisions and public policies addressed from the technical and scientific evidence, incorporating empirical knowledge in the development and implementation processes. The premise of the EBP indicates that from the available evidence and systematic rational analysis are produced better results than those public policies that are only driven by ideology.

The ultimate goal must be the construction of a Modern and Professionalized State where the evidence comes together with rigor and objectivity in order to make decisions leading to the advancement of society.
